Yong Tau Foo

Tofully does modern interpretations of yong tau foo. Seen above is their signature yong tau foo chosen with mixture of yellow noodles and mee hoon. This bowl of yong tau foo contains a piece of fried crispy soya, meatball, fried meat tofu, white fishcake, half slice of onsen egg and some vegetables. It comes served with a nice lightly flavoured soup on the side.

The fried crispy soya is light and crisoy, and tastes nice. The meatball is juicy with nice savoury meaty flavours. The fried meat tofu is crispy outside, soft inside and its meat fillings tastes nice. The white fishcake is soft and smooth with bits of chopped spring onions and chilli bits. The onsen egg is lovely too, soft and smooth. However the yellow noodles and mee hoon mixture is a bit bland though. It would have been nicer if its seasoning flavours are a bit more intense. The yong tau foo pieces are definitely very likeable.

Mentaiko Yong Tau Foo Rice Bowl

This yong tau foo rice bowl is infused with Japanese elements like mentaiko sauce, cherry tomatoes, onsen egg and seaweed added on top of the usual yong tau foo pieces. The mentaiko is burnt with a blowtorch giving it a nice light crisp and slightly burnt flavours. Very nice, very interesting! I like it!
