Eng’s Wantan (wanton) noodles comes with cha siew, a few pieces of boiled wanton (dumplings), some vegetables and a side serving of soup.

The dry tossed noodles are good. It may just a simple mixture of oil and soy sauce stirred with the noodles, yet there is a dry texture to the noodles and tastes very flavourful. The boiled wanton (dumplings) mixed with oil and soy sauce are equally good. However the cha siew (sweet BBQ roasted pork) are way too lean and dry, and lacking the sweetness of charred barbecued honey.

The deep fried wanton (dumplings) are an additional side dish. Its skin is crispy and fluffy. Tastes good too.

All in all, this is a decent choice for wanton noodles, and I like the way its noodles tastes. Eng’s Wantan Noodles is a chain store with dozens of outlets located throughout Singapore.
