Fu Lin Tofu Yuen serves a variety of yong tau foo and is famous for their fried yong tau foo, which are deep-fried to a crisp and served drenched in a braised meat sauce.

The fried tau kee, fried you tiao and tau pok are crispy and features a springy fish paste filling. The fu chuk is crispy and has a mild sweet taste. The fried meatball is soft and flavourful with crunchy water chestnut bits. The fried dumpling has a crispy skin wrapping a flavourful filling. The fried yong tau foo pieces are served drenched in a braised meat sauce containing minced meat and flavourful mushroom slices. It tastes really good!

A serving of yellow noodles drenched with braised meat sauce is served alongside the plate of fried yong tau foo. An optional sweet sauce and limey chilli sauce are also available, and surprisingly pairs really well with the yong tau foo with meat sauce.

This serving of fried yong tau foo with yellow noodles is satisfyingly good!

The yong tau foo is also available in a soup version. As shown above, it is serve with mee hoon, topped with chopped spring onions.

The fishball is smooth and springy with a pleasant fish taste. The flat tau kee skin is soft and chewy, while the tau kee roll is soft. The otah fish roll tastes decent with a mild hint of spiciness. The ngo hiang roll is firm and tastes decent too. The flat fish cake has a soft tau kee skin wrapping a soft and smooth fish paste containing tiny chopped chilli and spring onion bits, and it tastes nice.

This bowl of yong tau foo soup tastes not bad. However. the fried option is definitely a better choice.

Yong Tau Foo Laksa.

A laksa version is also available. The laksa gravy is spicy and flavourful with a mildly sweet undertone. The assorted fried yong tau foo are deep-fried to a golden crisp. The laksa option tastes lovely.
