Prawn Mee.

The prawn mee comes with prawns, fish cake slices and pork slices, served with yellow noodles and some bean sprouts in a bowl of soup. The lobster balls are an extra add-on.

The prawns are of decent size and freshness. The fish cake slices are smooth and springy, while the pork slices are firm and meaty. The lobster ball is firm, springy and pleasantly flavoured with a hint of sweetness. The prawn soup tastes not bad, and the bowl of prawn mee is topped with fried shallots and pork lard.

This bowl of prawn mee tastes pretty nice.

Fried Hokkien Mee.

The fried hokkien mee is the wet-type with a broth soaking the wok-fried mixture of yellow noodles, mee hoon, bean sprouts, egg and crispy pork lard. It comes with decently sized and fresh prawns, firm and meaty pork slices with soft fatty parts, and soft slices of sotong.

The fried hokkien mee is springy and flavourful, and a piece of green lime is provided on the side. It is worth mentioning that the optional chilli paste has intense dried shrimp flavours, and it pairs really well with the fried hokkien mee. Totally enjoyable.

Fried Kway Teow.

The fried kway teow features a mixture of rather smooth kway teow and springy yellow noodles, wok-fried with crispy pork lard, bean sprouts and egg. It is slightly moist, and has nice flavours with subtle notes of both savoury and sweet. The see hum is smallish in size but tastes decent. The fish cake is smooth and springy, and the lap cheong is soft and sweet.

This plate of fried kway teow tastes nice too.
