Teochew Braised Pork

Hwee Kee is one of the rare stalls still selling traditional teochew style braised pork with different kinds of cuts as well as innards. Pork kway chap is available too. Shown here is their braised pork ribs and braised twee bak (pork shoulder) with yam rice.

The braised pork ribs are soft with nice braised flavours. It meat comes off easily from the ribs when you bite into them. Similarly for the twee bak, soft juicy with nice meaty and braised flavours. As for the yam rice, it contains tiny bits of yam and pork. Tasty. This is definitely a very nice meal.
