Hotel Resonance Taipei, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a modernish boutique hotel located in Zhongzheng District. It is conveniently located around the corner of Shandao Temple station, and has many food options during daytime around the neighbourhood. Step behind its front door and a spacious lobby greets you.

Lobby

There are lots of seats around the spacious hotel lobby.

In the middle of the lobby is the hotel front desk and concierge desk.

Behind the front desk area is a cosy area with more seats. Some books are available on a shelf here, and you can just comfortably lounge around.

In front of the lift lobby is a piece of sculpture artwork. To get to your room, tap your room key card to access the floor your room is located on.

King Guest Room

My first impressions. When I first opened the door and stepped into the King Guest Room, it is quite spacious with clean modernish deco and a comfy vibe.

Along a wall next to the door is an open wardrobe. There is a safe box here as well as a couple of bathrobes, an ironing board and a steamer.

A king size bed is provided in the room, with a bedside table on each side. The usual light controls as well as power socket and USB sockets are located next to the bed. Do note that the bedding is a bit on the soft side. You may or may not like it depending on your personal preferences.

A TV hangs on the wall opposite the king size bed.

By the windows is a lounging sofa and table. This doubles up as a working area with power and USB sockets as well as internet socket, found at the bottom of the sofa.

There is also a fairly well stocked pantry with a coffee machine and coffee pods, tea bags, cups and bottled water. The mini fridge is also stocked with some drinks and snacks. Everything in the pantry, including mini fridge, is complimentary.

There are separate compartments for the toilet and the bathroom. The toilet has a Japanese style bidet, as well as a small washbasin.

The bathroom comes with a separate shower area. The bathtub is placed next to a window with electrical binds.

An amenities box holds the usual toothbrush, tooth paste, etc. The toiletries are housed in hotel branded bottles. However the body lotion is from a Taiwanese healthcare brand, Teaory.

Facilities

There are some basic facilities available at Hotel Resonance Taipei, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

There is no hotel cafe and restaurants within the hotel. Instead there is a Starbucks, located at the back of the hotel lobby on the 1st floor. It acts as the hotel cafe serving breakfast to hotel guests.

On the 2nd floor is a spa run by an external vendor. An ice machine and vending machine can also be found in one of the rooms.

Located on the 3rd floor is a 24 hours fitness room. There is the usual gym equipment inside, as well as an empty space where you can do yoga, pilates, etc. There is also a pantry corner to get hydrated.

Also located on the 3rd floor is a laundry room for hotel guests.

Check Out, Please

I like Hotel Resonance Taipei, Tapestry Collection by Hilton with its spacious rooms and modernish deco. The hotel is conveniently located around the corner of Shandao Temple station, and there are many food options available during daytime around the neighbourhood. The only downside for me is that its bedding is a bit too soft for my liking. Nevertheless, it is quite an enjoyable stay.
