Guo Tie & Steamed Dumplings

Tian Jin Fong Kee does rather tasty jiaozi dumplings, available in both fried guo tie dumplings and steamed dumplings.

This guo tie is quite nicely done with its bottom pan fried to a mild crisp and its top part remains steamed. Its filling of meat and vegetables is juicy and tastes nice. Likewise, its steamed dumplings are tasty too. It has a soft dumpling skin wrapping juicy meat fillings inside, which is somewhat wet similar like a xiaolongbao. Both versions are nice.

Nian Guo Rice Cake

Tian Jin Fong Kee also serves something that is not so commonly found in Singapore, nian gao rice cake. These are the white rice cake version that is stir fried in a nicely flavoured sauce. The rice cake is chewy and springy with vegetables and shredded meat added. It is quite likeable.
