Fried Hokkien Mee

Ping Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee does a different kind of fried Hokkien mee. This fried Hokkien mee is soaking wet with broth, which makes the noodles softer and more soggy compared to other fried Hokkien mee. Not that it is bad, it is just different.

The fried Hokkien mee comes with the usual prawns and sotong slices. It gets interesting here. Instead of the usual pork belly slices and lard pieces, this comes with deep fried pork belly à la lard style. It is crispy like lard, and has a savoury flavour. It is rather nice.

This plate of fried Hokkien mee comes served with a piece of green lime and sambal chilli. This spicy sambal chilli has a nice dried shrimp taste, and mixes rather well with the wet fried noodles. In terms of flavours, it may not be the tastiest plate of fried Hokkien mee but it is still quite likeable.
