Wanton Mee

Kowloon Wanton Mee does old school Singapore style wanton mee with lean meat char siew and a small bowl of wanton soup served on the side. The noodles are springy and mixed with a soya sauce based seasoning. It tastes nice. The char siew is just average though, and a bit on the dry side. As for the wanton dumplings, they come served in a small bowl of lightly flavoured soup. The wanton has a soft skin wrapping a nicely flavoured minced meat filling with a light tint of chinese rice wine flavour. Pretty nice.

Soya Sauce Chicken

Besides wanton mee, Kowloon Wanton Mee also does soya sauce chicken with either noodles or rice. Shown above is their soya sauce chicken noodles.

It has the same springy noodles as the wanton mee but with extra soya sauce seasoning added, soaking the noodles and giving it a nice savoury flavour. The chicken meat is moist and the chicken skin is rather smooth. Tastes nice with soya sauce flavours. Comes served with a small bowl of soup on the side. This soya chicken noodles is likeable.
