Nasi Lemak

D’Authentic Nasi Lemak sells fragrant nasi lemak with a number of dishes to choose from. Shown here is their standard nasi lemak set which comes with fried chicken wing, a sunny side egg, ikan bilis and peanuts, and sambal chilli on the side with a slice of cucumber. An extra begedil is added here.

The nasi lemak rice has a very nice aroma of coconut milk and tastes nice. The ikan bilis and peanuts are crispy and crunchy, and not overly salty. Quite nice too. The sambal chilli has a nice dried shrimp flavour and is spicy with a hint of sweetness. It mixes really well with the rice.

The fried chicken wing has a nice savoury taste with a lightly crispy skin with moist flesh inside. Likewise for the begedil, lightly crispy egg coating outside with nicely flavoured soft potato inside. The fried egg is a bit on the soft side with a runny yolk. Personally I prefer fried eggs with crispy sides. So this egg is quite normal to me.

Overall I do like this nasi lemak. Definitely quite a nicely flavoured one.
