Portuguese Egg Tart

Qinde Egg Tarts does really nice Portuguese egg tarts. This egg tart has a very fragrant buttery aroma. Its crust is airy, crispy and flaky. Filled with a custard pudding that is creamy and sweet with just the right amount of sweetness. This is definitely a very nice Portuguese egg tart that is similar to the ones in Macau. Highly recommended.

A common misconception about Portuguese egg tarts is, the version with flaky crust and creamy custard actually originates from Macau, not Portugal. It is invented by a British guy living in Macau. Source: South China Morning Post.
