Wanton Mee

Lim Kee Cooked Food sells a few variations of wanton mee. This has both soup wanton and fried wanton added, with slices of lean meat char siew on a plate of noodles.

The noodles is cooked too soft and isn’t springy. The black sauce seasoning isn’t mixed well into the noodles with some parts savoury tasting but mostly bland with alkaline flavours. Not good.

The char siew slices are the lean meat type. It is meaty with a very mild sweet taste. Not exactly tasty either. The fried wanton is mostly crispy but the meat filling parts are soft and isn’t crispy. Its skin has strong flavours of alkaline. Thumbs down.

As for the soup wanton, its skin wrapper is soft with somewhat meaty filling. Soup has light ikan bilis flavours. Only the soup wanton is decent. The rest are quite poorly done. This wanton mee is at most just average. Not recommended.
