Wanton Mee

Ji Sheng Traditional Wanton Noodle dishes out wanton mee served with slices of char siew and pieces of fried wanton served on a plate of tossed noodles with some vegetables. A bowl of ikan bilis flavoured wanton soup is served on the side. You can also choose the set with dumplings added.

The noodles are fairly springy with decent flavouring. The char siew are the lean meat type, is meaty and has a sweet taste. The fried wanton is crispy but has a mild alkaline taste. The soup version of both wanton and dumplings is better. Both has a soft skin wrapper with decently flavoured moist meat filling. The dumpling contains bits of prawns.

Although I prefer fatty char siew personally, this wanton mee tastes pretty decent.
