Lor Mee

This bowl of lor mee comes with braised pork belly, fish cake slices, ngo hiang slices, fried wanton and a braised egg, served with thick yellow noodles and some bean sprouts in a braised sauce gravy.

The braised pork belly is meaty with some soft fatty parts. Decent braised flavours with a tint of sweet. Both the fish cake slices and ngo hiang slices are the regular variety. The fried wanton is crispy but can’t really taste its filling. As for the braised egg, it is quite ordinary as well with very mild braised flavours.

The yellow noodles used are the thicker type and has a slight alkaline taste to it. The braised sauce has fairly decent flavours. However it is quite watery and isn’t thick and starchy.

Overall this bowl of lor mee isn’t bad per se, it is just a rather ordinary one.
