Fried Hokkien Mee

This plate of fried hokkien mee has the usual sotong, pork belly slices and prawns, with a mixture of yellow noodles, mee hoon and egg wok fried in a broth and topped with fried shallots and crispy pork lard.

The fried hokkien mee is the wet type. Its yellow noodles is soft and has an alkaline flavour. No bean sprouts either. The sotong is soft and the pork belly is meaty with some soft fatty parts. The prawn is quite regular as well. This plate of fried hokkien mee is quite ordinary.

Fried White Mee Hoon

This fried white mee hoon contains prawns, fish cake, pork slices, some vegetables and egg wok fried with mee hoon in a gravy and topped with some fried shallots. The pork is soft and meaty, the fish cake is fairly springy and the prawn is the regular kind. As for the fried mee hoon, it has a nice wok hei. I like this fried white mee hoon. Definitely better than their fried hokkien mee.

Yangzhou Fried Rice

The yangzhou fried rice has a nice fragrant scent. The fried rice is has a nice firm texture and is flavourful with a slight savoury taste. Contains the usual char siew bits and lap cheong bits and egg. This fried rice is decent.

Dry Fried Beef Hor Fun

Boon Keng 130 Noodles does a variety of hor fun too. Seen above is their dry fried beef hor fun. This fried hor fun is wok fried with beef slices, some vegetables, bean sprouts, onions, spring onions and egg. Some black sauce is added making it moist and tastes slightly sweet. A slight hint of wok hei is detected as well. It is topped with some fried shallots and crispy lard. As for the beef slices, it is soft and meaty. This plate of dry fried beef hor fun tastes rather nice. It would have been really likeable if it is drier.
