Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken

Yong Siang Chicken Rice does the usual choices of hainanese chicken and roast chicken served with rice.

The hainanese chicken has smooth, tender and moist meat with and soft and smooth chicken skin. The roast chicken is smooth, tender and moist as well with nice savoury seasoning flavours. Its skin is especially flavourful. These are served on a plate with cucumber slices and soya sauce seasoning. Although the chicken are not deboned, both of them are very likeable.

The serving of chicken comes with a plate of rice, soup and chilli. The rice is firm and flavourful, and the soup has nice savoury tastes. The chilli sauce is the usual garlicky and spicy type of chicken rice chilli sauce.

This chicken rice is really nice and likeable. Thumbs up!

Char Siew & Siu Yuk

Yong Siang Chicken Rice does char siew and siu yuk with rice. The rice provided is the same firm and flavoured chicken rice.

The char siew is soft and meaty with a mildly sweet taste. The siu yuk is meaty with some soft fatty parts. It has savoury flavours. Its skin is soft and not crispy. Both are quite ordinary but decent. Their chicken is definitely a much better choice.
