Lor Mee

Soon Lee Lor Mee Stall dishes out tasty lor mee containing pork belly slices, ngo hiang slices, fish meat bits and boiled egg with yellow noodles and some bean sprouts in a bowl of nicely flavoured braised sauce.

First, the ngo hiang. These are housemade in a flat patty and fried to a nice crisp outside and a soft nicely flavoured filling inside. Really nice! The pork belly is meaty and tender with some soft fatty bits. The fish meat bits is soft and meaty as well. Instead of braised egg, slices of regular boiled egg is provided.

As for the braised sauce, it is fairly starchy and flavourful with a slight tint of sweet. Comes served with thicker type of yellow noodles and some bean sprouts. The lor mee is topped with minced garlic puree and a dried shrimp flavoured chilli sauce.

This bowl of lor mee is truly tasty. The housemade crispy ngo hiang is especially good. I like it!
