Ngo Hiang

335 Ngoh Hiang Prawn Cracker serves a selection of ngo hiang pieces as well as fried mee hoon. The ngo hiang pieces above are: ngo hiang, prawn cracker, sotong you tiao and water chestnut egg cake.

First the ngo hiang. It has a crispy skin wrapping up a soft filling with nice savoury tastes. Next, the prawn cracker. It has a crispy flour batter that contains small crispy prawns. It is nice too. The sotong you tiao has a crispy you tiao with a soft and savoury sotong paste filling. As for the water chestnut egg cake, it is crispy outside and soft inside. Contains tiny bits of water chestnut. I like it.

The fried mee hoon is an optional add-on. It has a dry texture and nice flavours. Comes served with a sweet tasting chilli sauce with a tint of limey. The chilli sauce is topped with grated peanuts and goes rather well as a dipping sauce for the various ngo hiang pieces.

This assortment of ngo hiang and fried mee hoon is a rather likeable one.
