Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken Rice

Chung Ping Chicken Rice does both hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice.

The hainanese chicken has smooth and tender meat with soft and smooth skin. The roast chicken has smooth and soft meat as well, with flavourful chicken skin. Both types of chicken are nice, but do take note that they are not completely deboned. The chicken meat are served on a plate of fragrant and flavourful rice with a nice firm texture. A few slices of cucumber and crunchy preserved vegetables are provided on the side of the plate. Also comes with a bowl of nicely flavoured preserved vegetables soup and a chilli sauce that is galicky and limey.

This serving of chicken rice is decently nice.

Besides chicken rice, char siew and siu yuk rice is sold here as well. The rice used is the same fragrant and flavourful rice used for their chicken rice. The char siew is the meaty lean type. Likewise for the siu yuk, it is the lean type with a crispy skin and a light savoury taste. A dose of sweet and savoury tasting sauce is added to the meats and rice. It is served with some cucumber slices and preserved vegetables, as well as a bowl of preserved vegetables soup and chilli sauce. It is a rather decent tasting char siew and siu yuk rice.
