Ngo Hiang

China Street Fritters is well known for serving various types of traditional ngo hiang pieces. Above is their ngo hiang roll, liver roll, egg slice and sausage served with 2 dipping sauces.

The ngo hiang has a crispy skin wrapping nicely flavoured soft meaty fillings with a tint of yam taste. Likewise, the liver roll has a crispy skin wrapping soft liver meat and crunchy bits of water chestnut, and there is no gamey taste from the liver meat. The egg slice has is lightly crispy outside with soft insides. As for the sausage, it has a soft exterior, firm and meaty inside, and has a nice note of sweetness.

The plate of ngo hiang is served with 2 dipping sauces – a limey and garlicky tasting chilli sauce and a starchy sweet sauce. Both goes really well with the ngo hiang pieces. One word. Good!

Fried Mee Hoon

Fried mee hoon is also available as a side to go with the ngo hiang. This fried mee hoon is flavourful with a nice dry texture. It is recommended.
