Mee Siam

Social Hub sells a regular mee siam and a signature mee siam that comes with prawns. Above is their signature mee siam. It comes with a boiled egg, tau pok cubes, fish cake slices and prawns served together with mee hoon in a mee siam gravy and topped with chopped spring onions. A green lime and a dollop of chilli are included.

The mee siam gravy has nice flavours, a tint of limey with a tint of sweet, and tastes rather likeable. The tau pok is soft and soaks up the tasty flavours of the gravy. The fish cake is firm and springy, and the prawns tastes fairly fresh. The dollop of chilli is spicy with a note of sweet.

This serving of mee siam is nice. I like it.

Laksa

Social Bite also serves laksa, a regular one, a version with prawns added and their signature laksa which comes with prawns and see hum. Above is their signature laksa which comes with half a boiled egg, tau pok, fish cake slices, prawns and see hum, served with thick mee hoon and some bean sprouts in a bowl of laksa gravy.

The laksa gravy has nice flavourings with a light tone of spiciness. The tau pok is soft and soaks up the tasty laksa gravy flavours. The fish cake is firm and springy. The prawns are of decent size and tastes fairly fresh, and the see hum is decent too.

This bowl of laksa is a decent choice and is rather likeable.
