Fried Rice Story does egg fried rice in 4 flavours – original egg fried rice, mala egg fried rice, teriyaki egg fried rice and truffle egg fried rice. A choice of 6 mains are available with the fried rice: chicken cutlet, chicken chop, shrimps, braised beef, grilled scallops and crab meat.

Egg Fried Rice

The egg fried rice has a very nice fragrant scent. It is firm and flavourful with slivers of eggs and chopped spring onions. There is also a faint note of wok hei in the fried rice. It is served with an optional spicy tasting crispy fried chilli on the side.

Shown above is their shrimp egg fried rice and grilled chicken chop egg fried rice. The shrimps are springy and tastes fairly fresh. The chicken chop is soft and tender with moist savoury tasting meat. Its skin is soft and quite flavourful. Both are likeable.

Mala Egg Fried Rice

The mala egg fried rice has nice mala scent and flavours. It has a nice firm and dry texture with slivers of eggs and chopped spring onions. For this, it is paired with braised beef. The beef is soft and tender and meaty. Decent.

Teriyaki Egg Fried Rice

The teriyaki egg fried rice is rather fragrant and has savoury tastes of teriyaki sauce. It has a nice firm and dry texture, and comes with chopped spring onions and eggs. Above, it is paired with a piece of chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet has a crispy crust and moist meat. It is the supermarket type with ordinary decent flavours. Personally I perfer their grilled chicken chop.

Truffle Egg Fried Rice

The truffle egg fried rice has nice truffle scents and flavours. Just like the egg fried rice, it has a nice firm and dry texture. The fried rice comes with slivers of eggs and chopped spring onions. Seen above, it is paired with chunks of soft crab meat and topped with crunchy fish roe. Tastes nice!

Hot Wings

Hot wings is also available as a side. The mid-wings are tender and juicy with nice savoury seasoning flavours. The chicken wings tastes nice on its own, or you can pair it with the green chili dip. The green chilli dip is spicy and limey, and it goes rather well with the chicken wings. I like this.
