Katong Laksa

88 Katong Laksa offers a flavourful katong laksa dish. It comes with thick mee hoon served with see hum, fish cake, and prawns in a bowl of mildy spicy laksa gravy. The dish is complemented by a dollop of dried shrimp-flavored chilli paste.

The see hum is of decent size and tastes decent, while the fish cake is soft and smooth. The prawns are small in size, but fairly fresh. Overall, the katong laksa is not bad.

Otah

Otah is available as an add-on. The otah paste is savoury and spicy, containing fish bits, in a slightly moist texture. Tastes alright.

Fishball & Meatball Noodles

The fishball and meatball noodles comes with a mix of fishballs, meatballs and minced meat served in a bowl of soup. and a choice of noodles. Mee pok is chosen for this.

The handmade fishballs have a nice fish flavour, and a rather soft and smooth texture. The meatballs are firmer but still tender and has nice meaty flavours. The minced meat adds a meaty element and the soup has pleasant flavours. The firm and springy mee pok noodles has a savoury seasoning note, and tossed with some crispy pork lard and fried shallots.

This serving of fishball and meatball mee pok is not bad too.
