Wanton Mee

Everything at Chen Ming Ji Wanton Noodle is plain average. The wanton mee is average and so is the shredded chicken noodles.

Decent tasting springy noodles with a soya sauce seasoning. Comes topped with char siew. The char siew is lean meat type and is dry. Comes with a small bowl of wanton soup on the side. The wanton has water chestnut bits with juicy meat fillings, but tastes average. The soup has a mild ikan bilis flavour and tastes kind of bland. It is not lousy but it not good either.

This wanton mee is just average. For a good plate of wanton mee in Tiong Bahru Market, go for Zhong Yu Yuan Wei Wanton Noodle.

Shredded Chicken Noodles

As for the shredded chicken noodles, same decent tasting springy noodles with soya sauce seasoning but comes topped with shredded chicken instead of char siew slices.

Just like the char siew here, the shredded chicken meat is dry and tastes bland. Comes served with some wanton in a bowl of soup on the side as well. This shredded chicken noodles is just an average one.
