Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Wan Chai, just a short walk away from Wan Chai MTR station and lots of food and shopping options in its vicinity. This hotel has chic interriors. The wall behind its front desk is filled with colour shifting psychedelic lights, giving it a somewhat futuristic look.
The hotel lobby on the ground floor is rather compact with just a row of sofa seats.
The lift lobby is located just next to the front desk. The lift itself follows the same theme with a wall of colour shifting psychedelic lights.
Standard King Room
At first glance, the Standard King Room is chic looking and spacious. There is a living room area with a sofa set. A trendy looking tea set is placed on top of its stool.
Opposite the sofa is a TV and a sound system set from Bang & Olufsen. Hanging on the ceiling of the corner is an oriential style lamp.
Behind the sofa is a large king size bed. On one side of the bed are a row of room light switches.
On the other side of the bed, there is a retro looking wooden tray placed on top of the bedside table. On the tray is the TV remote and an analogue clock. There is also a bladeless fan and heater standing on the floor near it.
A writing desk is located behind the headboard of the kind bed. A box of stationery, room phone and sockets can be found here.
The wall behind the writing desk is tiled with a decorative motif, and at a corner is an oriential style decorative stool.
Running along the side of the room is an open bathroom with seperate enclosed shower and toilet compartments. A complete set of bathroom amenities is provided.
There is a wall phone in the toilet compartment. Its toilet roll holder has a flat surface, which allow you to conveniently place your mobile phone and small objects.
The shower comes with both regular shower head and rainforest shower.
Bathroom toiletries provided are from Crabtree & Eyelyn.
Near the doorway is a conveniently placed low shelf where you can put your bags and belongings. Along the wall are a couple of built-in cabinets where the wardrobe and pantry are.
The wardrobe is well stocked with the usual bathrobe, iron, etc. Even an umbrella is provided in case of rainy weather. The safe box is also located here.
Located on the 2nd floor of Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island is a lounging area and a 24 hour gym room. On the roof top is a swimming pool which unfortunately is closed for renovations during my stay.
On the 2nd floor is a lounge area with sofas and armchairs. A couple of iMac computers can be found here as well.
Also located on the 2nd floor is a small gym room with some gym equipment and weights. It is accessible 24 hours using your room key card.
There is also a rooftop pool which unfortunately is closed for renovations during my stay.
