Prawn Mee

545 Whampoa Prawn Noodles is a well-known stall that specialises in serving prawn mee in both soup or dry versions. The dry version of prawn mee, as shown above, comes with prawn slices and pork slices served in a bowl of tossed yellow noodles, and accompanied by a bowl of flavourful soup on the side.

The prawn slices are decent size and tastes decently fresh. The pork slices are tender and soft to the bite. The yellow noodles is tossed with ketchup and chilli, and has a firm and springy texture. The noodles has a light savoury flavour, and contains some bean sprouts. The star of this dish is the topping of crispy fried shallot and crispy pork lard, which adds a satisfying note of crunchiness to the noodles. Tastes nice.
