Ayam Penyet

Adam Chicken Rice serves ayam penyet with rice and soup. It comes with a side of fried tau kwa, some cucumber slices, lettuce, cherry tomato and, a very spicy and limey tasting chilli sauce.

The fried chicken is crispy and meaty. However it is kind of dry and tastes rather bland. Its skin is crispy and flavourful though. The fried tau kwa has a chewy skin that is no longer crispy and it has a mild savoury taste. The rice is firm and flavourful, and the soup is flavourful as well with a hint of ginger.

All in all, this serving of ayam penyet is just average.
