Rojak

Apa Rojak serves rojak with a load of ingredients including, pieces of you tiao, slices of cucumber, pineapple, pear, red apple, green apple and green mango. The you tiao and fruits slices are all tossed in a watery rojak sauce and topped with grated peanuts.

The fruits slices are mostly crunchy and juicy but not particularly sweet. The you tiao, though crispy can be somewhat firm and chewy. The rojak sauce is watery with a slightly sweet taste and has a dash of fresh green lime juice squeezed into it.

This plate of rojak tastes alright but is rather ordinary. The rojak at Rojaklicious is definitely a better choice.

Popiah

Apa Rojak serves popiah too. The popiah has a moist filling of radish shreds, lettuce, boiled egg bits, bean sprouts and grated peanuts, all rolled into a slightly chewy popiah skin. The popiah has a slightly sweet-tasting seasoning sauce spead onto its skin. The popiah also carries a hint of dried shrimp flavours, possibly coming from the chilli paste spread on its skin.

This serving of popiah tastes alright too, but is quite unremarkable.
