Fried Hokkien Mee

Boon Keng Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee does wet type of fried hokkien mee with prawns and sotong. A mixture of yellow noodles and thick mee hoon is wok fried with some bean sprouts and egg, and simmered in a broth.

The prawn is decent sized and tastes decent, and the sotong is firm and chewy. The fried yellow noodles and thick mee hoon is springy but tastes a little bland. However the limey and savoury tasting chilli paste on the side helps bring up its flavours. Some crispy pork lard is added when served.

This fried hokkien mee tastes just OK.
