Signature Noodles.

Chao Zhou Mian Zhi Jia serves a variety of fishball and minced meat noodles. Their signature mee pok, as shown above, comes with a whole load of ingredients. The dish includes minced meat, pork slices, pork liver slices, fishball, meatball, teochew fishball, braised mushroom slices and a prawn, accompanied by a small bowl of lightly seasoned soup on the side.

The minced meat is soft and meaty. The pork slices are tender and meaty. The pork liver slices are soft and and has a gamey taste. The fishball is soft and springy with a decent fish flavour. The meatball is soft and has nice meaty flavours. The teochew fishball is soft, smooth and flavourful, with tiny bits of chopped spring onions and chilli within its fish paste. The braised mushroom slices are soft and have a lovely braised flavour with a note of sweetness. The prawn is rather large in size and tastes quite fresh. As for the mee pok, it is tossed in a seasoning mixture of vinegar, chilli and crispy pork lard. The noodles is smooth and springy.

This serving of signature mee pok is quite likeable.
