Prawn Mee

Downtown Prawn Noodle serves a handful of prawn mee options, with a choice of noodles in either dry or soup versions. The prawn mee dry version with mee pok, is featured above. The dish comes with a few pieces of whole prawns, a pork rib and a slice of pork meat, accompanied by a bowl of soup on the side.

The prawns are of decent size and tastes decently fresh. The piece of pork rib is soft and meaty, while the slice of pork is firm and meaty. The tossed mee pok noodles comes with some bean sprouts, vegetables, fried shallot and pork lard. While its texture is overly soft and mushy for my liking, the noodles has a pleasant savoury flavour. The bowl of soup is probably the highlight of the meal. with a rich flavourful profile and a nice note of sweetness. The soup is quite likeable.

For this prawn mee, another choice of noodles and the soup version will probably be a better option.
