Fried Kway Teow

Holland Village 27 Char Kway Teow: Fried Kway Teow

This fried kway teow comes with see hum, lap cheong and fish cake slices stir fried in a kway teow and yellow noodles mixture with egg and some bean sprouts added. The mixture has more kway teow with just a few strands of yellow noodles, and the see hum is tiny. Tastes of soya sauce flavours and a little bit sweet. No lard as well. Just average.

Fried Carrot Cake

The fried carrot cake here comes in the usual black and white versions. This fried carrot cake uses soft radish cubes pan fried with eggs. It has light smokey flavours but isn’t crispy at all. The black version has sweet black sauce added giving it a mildly sweet taste. They are topped with chopped spring onions. Personally I prefer the black version here over the white ones. Both are just average though.

Fried Oyster Omelette

The fried oyster omelette is pan fried with eggs and starch. The starch pieces are chewy and slightly charred but soft. So are the eggs, soft and lacking any crispiness. Tastes bland too. Comes with a few small pieces of oysters. This fried oyster omelette is done poorly and tasteless. Avoid.
