Sarawak Kolo Mee.

The sarawak kolo mee features slices of char siew and minced meat served on a bowl of tossed noodles with a small bowl of flavourful soup served on the side. The soft-boiled egg is an extra add-on.

The char siew slices are firm and meaty with a slightly sweet taste. The minced meat is meaty with a nice savoury taste. The noodles is firm and springy and decently flavoured, with crispy fried garlic bits and chopped spring onions added as toppings. The soft-boiled egg is has watery yolk and whites, and tastes rather nice when mixed into the tossed noodles.

This serving of sarawak kolo mee tastes decent.

Laksa.

The laksa comes with prawns, fish cake slices, tau pok and half a boiled egg, served with thick mee hoon and bean sprouts, in a flavourful laksa gravy with nice coconut milk flavours and a mild note of spiciness.

The prawns are of decent size, springy and tastes fairly fresh. The fish cake is rather smooth and springy, and the tau pok is soft and flavourful with laksa gravy. An optional spicy chilli paste can be added to the side.

This serving of laksa tastes not bad.

Yong Tau Foo.

The yong tau foo comes with bitter gourd, fried tofu and tau kee, served with kway teow in a bowl of pleasantly flavoured soup with some lettuce.

The bitter gourd is crunchy and bitter with a springy fish paste filling. The fried tofu is firm and fairly smooth, with a chewy skin and a small portion of springy fish paste filling. The tau kee is firm and springy with a springy fish paste filling, soaking up with the soup’s flavours.

This bowl of yong tau foo soup with kway teow tastes decent too.
