Wanton Mee.

Kallang Wantan Noodle offers two types of wanton mee, regular and black sauce versions. The wanton mee is served with slices of char siew, fried wanton and a bowl of wanton soup.

The char siew is lean, firm and meaty with a slightly sweet taste. The fried wanton has a crispy skin and a flavourful soft meaty filling. The soup wanton has a soft skin instead, with the same flavourful soft meaty filling. The soup is decently flavoured with a light peppery taste.

The tossed noodles is firm and springy with pleasant seasoning flavours. The black sauce version has more intense flavourings that is more savoury with a mild tint of sweetness. The noodles comes with a small serving of vegetables and some crispy pork lard.

The black sauce version of wanon mee definitely tastes better than the regular one, although the regular version tastes decent too.

Some sides are also available. The chicken cutlet has moist and tender meat with a crispy batter and decent flavours. The ngoh hiang has a slight crispy skin wrapping a soft and flavourful filling. Both are served with a sweet chilli sauce on the side.
