Fried Hokkien Mee.

The fried hokkien mee served is the wet type, soaking in a broth, and comes with a few pieces of prawns and sotong. The prawns are decently sized and taste decent, and the sotong is soft. The wok-fried mixture of thick mee hoon and yellow noodles features egg, bean sprouts and spring onions. It is firm and springy, but tastes a bit bland. However, pairing it with the sweet tasting dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste makes it better. This plate of fried hokkien mee is decent.

Fried Carrot Cake.

The fried carrot cake is available in both black and white versions. Longish cubes of radish cake that are firm and springy are pan-fried with eggs and chye poh. The white version is done flat style with a slightly crispy egg coating, while the black version has sweet black sauce added giving it a hint of sweetness. Some chopped spring onions are added as toppings to the fried carrot cake. Both options taste decent.

Fried Kway Teow.

There are two types of fried kway teow available: the regular version with see hum, lap cheong and fish cake, as well as a seafood version featuring prawns, sotong and fish cake.

The see hum is of decent size and tastes decent, the lap cheong is firm and sweet, and the fish cake is springy with a pleasant fish flavour. For the seafood version, the prawn is of decent size and freshness, and the sotong is soft.

Both choices of fried kway teow use a mixture of kway teow and yellow noodles, wok fried with egg, bean sprouts, crispy pork lard and garlic bits. The regular fried kway teow has a moist texture, and is flavourful with a light tone of sweetness from the added black sauce. The seafood fried kway teow is done white style, and it is quite flavourful with a hint of wok hei. Both fried kway teow options taste nice.
