Fried Carrot Cake.

Lian Xing Kueh does fried carrot cake using housemade radish cake. Only the black version is available here.

The longish cubes of radish cake is fairly soft and springy. These are pan fried with egg, chye poh and garlic bits. Some sweet black sauce is added to it giving it a mildly sweet tone of sweetness. It is served topped with some chopped spring onions.

This plate of fried carrot cake is somewhat moist. It is not crispy, but tastes quite decent.
