Rendezvous Restaurant Hock Lock Kee is a famous nasi padang (Indonesian dishes) restaurant that has been around since 1950s. It is one of the best nasi padang restaurants in Singapore.
This curry chicken is nice. The chicken meat is cooked with curry and the flavours soaking into its skin. This curry isn’t too spicy.
Lodeh is a mixed vegetables dish with shrimps in green curry gravy. The green curry isn’t spicy at all and has a tint of sweetness.
This beef rendang is good and I love its gravy. Beef rendang is a spicy dish, with its meat slow cooked and braised in coconut milk and spice mixture, until the liquids evaporates and the meat turns dark brown and tender. The gravy is a lot less watery and thicker than curry.
Cuttlefish sambal essentially uses the same sauce base as beef rendang, and cooked with cuttlefish.
Fish sambal uses yet another chilli sauce. This is a spicy chilli sauce that is with a sweet taste. It goes really well with the fried fish meat.
Chicken begadel is a fried mashed potato patty with chicken meat with an egg coating.
Cucumber salad is made up of sliced cucumbers with onion slices, chopped red chilli and lime juice. This dish is refreshing and helps reduce the feelings of spiciness.
