Prawn Mee.

San Hup Big Prawn Noodle serves a variety of prawn mee with different combination of ingredients. Their signature prawn mee, as shown above, features prawns, prawn paste, fish cake slices and pork slices. Tossed mee pok is chosen for its noodle option and additional prawn paste is added.

The prawns are large in size, springy and tastes quite fresh with their intestines cleaned out. The prawn paste contains chunky bits of prawn meat within its soft and smooth paste. The fish cake slices are the teochew style with tiny bits of chopped spring onions and chilli within its soft, smooth and springy fish paste. The firm and meaty pork slices are served in a bowl of flavourful soup with a hint of soya sauce taste, and topped with fried shallots. The plesantly flavoured tossed mee pok is springy, and it comes with some bean spouts, vegetables and crispy pork lard.

This serving of signature prawn mee is satisfying. Its prawn paste is especially nice and the cleaned-out prawns are a nice touch. Enjoyable.
