Chicken Rendang

Their chicken rendang set comes with a piece of chicken drumstick, a fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts with choice of blue pea rice or white. Blue pea rice is chosen here and the begedil is an extra add-on.

The blue pea rice has a nice firm texture and smells fragrant. It has nice flavours of blue pea and coconut milk. The chicken rendang is tender and soft with very nice lightly spicy rendang flavours. The ikan bilis and peanuts has nice sweet flavours, with fairly crispy ikan bilis and crunchy peanuts. As for the begedil, very nicely flavoured and soft mashed potato with a nice crispy egg coating. Very nice. Highly recommended add-on.

Nasi Lemak

For the nasi lemak, I did it a la carte with a piece of otah, fried chicken wing, fried egg omelette with onions, ikan bilis and peanuts. A dollop of dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste is added on the side.

The otah has a dry and firm texture, is mildly spicy and tastes decent. The fried egg omelette with onions is soft and tastes quite nice too. The ikan bilis and peanuts has a nice sweet flavouring, with fairly crispy ikan bilis and crunchy peanuts. As for the fried chicken wing, it is very nicely seasoning with savoury flavours. It has a nice crispy batter outside and juicy moist meat inside. Very tasty and highly recommended.
