Lor Mee

Si Ma Lu Lor Mee sells a handful of variations of lor mee. Seen here is their fried fish and fried chicken lor mee. It comes with pork belly slices, char siew slices and half a braised egg as well, with yellow noodles and some bean sprouts drenched in a nicely flavoured dark starchy braised sauce.

The fried fish given here is just small pieces of fish meat pieces instead of fried fish nuggets. The fish meat is moist and with decent flavourings. The slices of fried chicken cutlet has moist meat and its fried crust is still slightly crispy. The pork belly slices provided has some fatty parts, is soft and meaty. The char siew slices is the lean type that is meaty with a slightly sweet taste. As for the braised egg, it has a nice hint of braised flavours. The chopped garlic, chopped spring onions, vinegar and chilli are optional and can be added to your own liking.

Overall, this is quite a likeable bowl of lor mee. Thumbs up.
