Tiong Bahru Tow Kwar Pop

is a hugely popular stall, in business since 1965. This is definitely one of the tastiest rojak in Singapore.

Rojak

This is probably one of the best tow kwar pop (toasted stuffed dried beancurd puff) I had. The tau pok (dried beadcurd puff) is stuffed with cucumber slices and beansprouts, and toasted until it is crispy.

Instead of the usual sauces poured into a soaking mess, this stall serves them separately on the side as dipping sauces. The black one is a sweet prawn paste sauce, and the red one is a chilli sauce. This allows your own preference to the amount of sauce you want with your tow kwar pop and keeps it crispy.

It is topped with finely grated peanut powder and the fruits slices are a very nice touch. It is a must-try when you are in the neighbourhood, and well worth the wait. Highly recommended!
