36 Curry Rice: Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Wing, Fried Egg, Ikan Bilis Peanuts

36 Curry Rice serves a few selections of nasi lemak. Seen above is their set that comes with a fried egg, fried chicken wing, ikan bilis peanuts and served with a dollop of chilli paste.

The fried chicken wing is crispy outside and moist inside with a nice savoury seasoning taste. The fried egg has a watery yolk and soft whites. The ikan bilis is crispy and the peanuts crunchy.

As for the rice, it is fairly fragrant with a tint of savouriness coming from the added coconut milk. It is a bit soft though. The sambal chilli paste is sweet and has nice dried shrimp flavours.

This serving of nasi lemak is rather decent.

Fried Mee Hoon

Beside nasi lemak, a selection of fried mee hoon and fried noodles is available here as well. Seen here is their fried mee hoon with fish fillet added, and mee goreng with fish fillet and fried chicken wing added.

The fried mee hoon contains some bean sprouts. It has a nice dry texture with savoury flavours. The fish fillet is crispy outside and soft inside.

The mee goreng fried yellow noodles comes with some bean sprouts, vegetables and egg. It is firm and springy with nice spicy flavours.

Both are rather likeable. Personally, I prefer these over their nasi lemak.
