Fried Hokkien Mee

Lorong 7 Hokkien Fried Prawn Mee does fried hokkien mee with the usual prawns, sotong and pork. A mixture of yellow noodles and mee hoon is wok fried with eggs, some bean sprouts and spring onions added. This is then simmered in a broth. The prawns, sotong and pork are then added.

The result is a plate of moist fried hokkien mee. Its mixture of fried yellow noodles and mee hoon is firm and springy, and flavourful. The prawns are of decent size and tastes decent, the sotong is firm and chewy, and the pork is soft and meaty. A dollop of dried shrimp tasting chilli paste is served on the side. Worth mentioning, the dried shrimp chilli paste is nice. I can even taste bits of dried shrimps in it!

This plate of fried hokkien mee is flavourful and likeable. Thumbs up.
