Chwee Kueh

Jian Bo Shui Kueh serves pretty good chwee kueh with generous servings of chai poh (preserved radish). The steamed rice cake is soft and rather flavourless on its own. It is the chye poh that makes the difference. This chye poh is soaked in vegetable oil, has a salty taste and is highly addictive.

Chee Cheong Fun

Jian Bo Shui Kueh sells chee cheong fun as well. The chee cheong fun is quite smooth and soft with sweet sauce and chilli sauce added, and topped with sesame seeds. The sweet sauce tastes rather nice and the chilli has mild flavours of dried shrimps. Quite likeable.

Yam Cake

Jian Bo Shui Kueh also sells yam cake. The yam cake here is soft but firm, contains some yam bits inside and has nice flavours. Served with sweet sauce and chilli sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. I like this. Thumbs up.
