Nasi Lemak

Super Shiok Nasi Lemak serves nasi lemak that is literally quite shiok. My set comes with egg omelette, fried chicken wing, ikan bilis with peanuts and a scoop of sambal chilli on the side. Luncheon meat and otah are extras.

The rice is quite fragrant with fairly decent flavours. The otah as well, decent flavours and not spicy. The chicken wing has nice savoury flavours, the ikan bilis and peanuts are crispy with a nice crunch. Kind of special is the luncheon meat where chicken luncheon meat is used and it is fried with an egg coating.

Something that is really specially here is their sambal chilli. The sambal chilli contains ikan bilis! Quite spicy flavours and no sweet tastes normally associated with nasi lemak chilli. Personally, I would prefer it with a slightly sweet flavour. The ikan bilis is quite a nice surprise though.

Dry Mee Siam

Super Shiok Nasi Lemak does dry mee siam as well, which is lagi shiok. In fact, I like their dry mee siam more than their nasi lemak.

Their standard dry mee siam comes with a hardboiled egg and a piece of lime, as well as their sambal chilli. You can also go for kosong, which means you want it plain without the egg. I had a piece of luncheon meat added here as an extra.

This dry mee siam has a nice dried shrimps flavour with small bits of tofu and egg omelette bits in it. Squeeze in the green lime on to the mee siam and its flavours are even more sedap. The limey tastes of the sambal chilli matches the flavours of this dry mee siam really well. I like it.
