Rojak

Balestier Road Hoover Rojak is a hugely popular stall selling mixed fruits rojak with jellyfish. It contains the usual pieces of tau pok and you tiao with slices of juicy fruits and vegetables.

The fruits slices includes: green mango, guava, cucumber, pineapple, apple and pear. The fruits slices are mostly juicy and sweet. Nice! These are mixed in a tasty rojak sauce with lots of grated peanuts added. The usual pieces of tau pok and you tiao with some bean sprouts are added. Something uncommonly found, slices of jellyfish are included in this rojak too.

The tau pok and you tiao are unfortunately soft. However the rojak sauce is very nicely flavoured, not too sweet and it has a mild limey taste. The rojak sauce also tastes nutty from the generous amounts of added grated peanuts. This is definitely a lovely plate of rojak. Good!
