Bukit Purmei Lor Mee serves their lor mee with different variations of ingredients. Their signature lor mee features shredded red snapper fish meat, fish cake slices, braised pork slices, char siew slices, fried yam ball and a braised egg. These are served with thick yellow noodles and bean sprouts in a bowl of starchy and flavourful braised sauce with a mild hint of sweetness.

The pieces of shredded fish meat are firm and meaty, while the fish cake slices are soft and smooth. Both the braised pork and char siew slices are firm and meaty. The fried yam ball is crispy with nice yam flavours but is a bit firm and hard. The braised egg has very mild braised flavours. The lor mee is topped with minced garlic and coriander leaves with an optional sweet tasting chilli paste.

This bowl of signature lor mee tastes not bad.
