Braised Duck Rice

Cheng Ji Lu Ya Fan Mian does fairly decent braised duck with option for rice, noodles or porridge. Shown here is their braised duck rice set which comes with slices of braised duck meat, braised tofu, half a braised egg stacked on a plate of braised sauce rice and a bowl of braised soup on the side.

The rice has quite nice braised flavours. The braised duck, braised tofu and braised egg are tastes quite ordinary though. The chilli is really nice with dried shrimp flavours, and mixes really well with the rice. The bowl of soup has very mild hints of herbal taste and is a bit salty. Overall, this is a fairly decent plate of braised duck rice.
