Yong Tau Foo

Cheng Ji Yong Tou Fu sells an assortment of yong tau foo pieces in either soup or dry versions. These are served with choice of noodles and something uncommon, chee cheong fun and yam cake. An assortment of yong tau foo pieces are chosen here together with chee cheong fun and yam cake.

The yong tau foo pieces with fish paste are fairly smooth and soft. The ones with tofu skin is firm, and the tau pok is soaking with the nice soup’s flavours. The soup is is nicely flavoured with tastes of soya beans. The soup contains soya beans, some chopped spring onions and crispy lard.

As for the chee cheong fun, it is firm and decently smooth. The yam cake is soft with nice yam flavours. Sweet sauce and chilli sauce are added and these are topped with some sesame seeds.

This yong tau foo served with chee cheong fun and yam cake tastes rather nice and likeable. Thumbs up.
