Hainanese Chicken & Chicken Cutlet

The hainanese chicken has soft and tender meat, with soft and smooth skin. The chicken cutlet has a thick crispy breaded crust covering a firm and moist meat, and can be served with an optional lemon sauce..

These are served on a plate of firm and fairly flavourful rice. A bowl of nicely flavoured soup, garnished with chopped spring onions and fried shallots, is served on the side. An optional garlicky chilli sauce is also provided.

The hainanese chicken is nice, but the chicken cutlet is rather ordinary.

Roast Chicken

On the menu, it is listed as grilled chicken fried rice, but what arrives is actually roast chicken. The roast chicken has tender and smooth meat, attached with a rather flavourful and soft skin. Tastes not bad.

The fried rice is quite fragrant, and has savoury flavours and a firm texture. it comes with slivers of egg, chopped spring onions and sweet corn. A fried egg with cooked yolk and whites accompanies the plate of fried rice. Lettuce and cucumber slices are also served on the side.

I quite like it.

Chicken Char Siew

If rice isn’t your fancy, noodles is also available as an option. The chicken char siew noodles comes with slices of chicken char siew served in a bowl of tossed noodles. The chicken char siew has soft and tender meat with a slightly sweet taste. The tossed noodles is firm and springy, and has nice seasoning flavours. It tastes not bad too.
